DIE JUNGS VOM BAHNHOF ZOO provides an insight into authentic stories of rent boys in order to shed light on the phenomenon of male prostitution - without using stereotypes. The documentary focuses upon five rent boys, three of them are Romanies. Social workers, innkeepers and Austrian actor and director Peter Kern are interviewed. The film follows the young men at work in bars, porn cinemas or in the streets and displays their strong will to survive.
