ARE WE AFRAID OF QUEER JOY? | Talk with director Harvey Rabbit | Eintritt freiSamstag | 24.05. | 15:30 Uhr | Kleines Bali | English
"Are We Afraid of Queer Joy?" is a rallying cry against the normalization of queer pain in film and media. In this lecture-performance, Harvey Rabbit exposes how systemic oppression and internalized narratives have made tragedy the expected currency of queer storytelling. This lecture-performance explores the historical contexts that have kept tragedy at the forefront of our narratives and demands we reclaim our right to joy, pleasure, and liberation on screen.
